Acts 9:10-20

Introduction:

~ Missionary Jim Elliot: “Only one life will soon be past, only what is done for Christ will last.”

1. The kind of person who has a willing heart.

- The believers of the early church were eager to serve God.

2. The kind of person who is willing to risk for the glory of god.

- But the risk I am talking about is the willingness to do or to lose anything for the glory of God.

- Phil. 3:7 – “But what things were gained to me, these I have counted loss of Christ.”

3. The kind of person who is willing to suffer for the glory of God.

- Paul’s willingness to suffer showed the true worth of God’s glory

- In spite of all he would suffer he identified with the Lord.
